Maids And Gardeners

Featured Replies

I have just asked my Thai wife and she thinks 6000 baht a month is right for a live in maid, she would eat the same food as the family.

If the maid lives out you may have pay a slightly higher rate to compensate for travel.

Always good to get a local who you know, to recommend someone, then you

are less likely to get someone light fingered. All the same a copy of the id card is essential.

It may be good to have a trial period of say three months, with a small pay rise

if you are really satisfied.

PS In our house my wife looks after the two grandchildren, while Mums and Dads are at work.
