Think Tank: China Boosts Nuclear Arms Arsenal

China has increased its nuclear weapons by about 10 warheads in the past year, and other nuclear states appear set on maintaining their arsenals, a Swedish think tank said on Monday. At the start of the year, China had raised its number of nuclear warheads to 250 from 240 in 2012 as part of a process to modernize its defense, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said. However, it also said China is “highly non-transparent†when it comes to its nuclear arsenal. Bitter rivals Pakistan and India also increased their arsenals by around 10 warheads each. Meanwhile, the US and Russia continued their disarmament in accordance with the new START treaty that they signed in 2010.—AP

The CCP line of the past 20 years of the "peaceful rise" of the PRChina is more than a myth. It has been exposed over the past three years as always duplicitous and flat out false. The launch point of Beijing's military aggression was the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The Olympic games in Beijing ignited a huge nationalism among the population of the PRChina. (Recall that the CCP sent its Olympic torch bearers in a run around the world, not only in the PRChina - a definite message to all of us of Beijing's ambitions.)

It is since the 2008 Beijing Olympic games that Beijing has been selectively showing some of its military hardware, such as its new stealth fighter-bomber. It's for certain, says the Pentagon, that the CCP was able to develop the new stealth aircraft because it cyber attacked U.S. defense contractors whose cyber security is dangerously inadequate. Cyber security among U.S. defense contractors is now being upgraded in cooperation with the National Security Agency and the U.S. military's Cyber Command.

Still, Beijing has become aggressive In its territorial claims. It outrageously says the entire South China Sea, conveniently named by Western seafarers centuries ago, is the sovereign territory of the PRC. This has militarily engaged the CCP-PRC against most Asean countries. Beijing has a South China Sea shoreline of only 3100 km compared to the 130,000 km of shoreline of Asean countries.

Beijing has engaged Japan over islands off the east coast of the PRChina which since the end of WW II are recognized by the U.S. as within Japanese sovereignty. Beijing recently challenged India by crossing the Actual Line of Control, respect of which has kept the peace for more than 50 years amidst Beijing's territorial claims there to the entire northern border province of India. There's trouble down the road between Beijing and Moscow over Beijing's claims that mineral rich Siberia is the sovereign territory of the CCP-PRC.

So now we have new CCP-PRC military threats to international peace and security, as reported below by the Christian Science Monitor in the U.S. The CCP-PRC military buildup is great, it is strong, and it is serious. It will continue indefinitely into the future, strongly suggesting a new Cold War between the democracies of the region and the world versus the ancient dictatorship which has always been the Chinese form of government, and which the majority of the PRChinese continue to believe is the best form of government - not only for the PRChinese, but for all of us..

Twenty-four years ago on June 4th 1989 the CCP dictators of the PRC used the People's "Liberation" Army to slaughter and massacre unarmed students who had been occupying Tianamen Square for seven weeks to demand reform and democracy in the PRChina. The first link reconnects us to that time of mass protest against the CCP government, the failed China spring.

The second link below is an artistic expression of the remembrance of that awful night into the dawn hours 24 years ago. A Dutch artist's big yellow duck floats freely in Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong, as we can see in the photo. Dissidents in the PRChina took the image of the 50-foot duck and posted it repositioned in time in Tianamen Square on the website screen. The iconic photo of the PRChinese citizen standing to stop a column of tanks has been re-engineered to show him standing before a column of big yellow ducks.

The posting immediately brought in CCP censors who have removed the juxtaposed photo and have blocked all search engine references to "Big Yellow Duck."

These are yet other instances of 21st century militant fascism in the CCP-PRC.

Most of the West are like naive little children compared to Asia. I have a high school buddy who graduated with a degree in economics and he continues to spout the rules of economics, he doesn't know Asia doesn't give a crap about what he learned at school or our Western theories regarding how business works. When I told him of the dangers of foreigners running a business and competing in Thailand with Thais, he said "Oh, why don't they trust us?" clap2.gif And this is a guy who is a successful businessman and somewhat well traveled. Imagine the average Westerner. Unless you've lived... I mean really lived among Asians (eg, not just a year teaching or on holiday backpacking around), you have absolutely no clue.

Every year at this time the CCP reinforces its denial of the Tianamen Square massacre of June 4th 1989 in which an uncounted number of unarmed PRChinese youths were slaughtered by the PLA.

Parents who try to visit the tombs of their murdered children are turned away. These are the parents who received bills from Beijing demanding payment for the arms and ammunition that were used to kill their children.

A bloody massacre by bloody murderers, the CCP in Beijing - a heartless and soulless gang..
