weegee
If the circunference of a circle is 10mtrs, what is the diameter? Sorry to ask but i have forgotten the formula and the value of Pye.... Appreciate someone replying with the answer Thanks
Popular Post bangkokrick
The diameter is 3.18 M. 10/3.142 = 3.18m
Popular Post Tywais
C = pi x D therefore D = C/pi > 10/pi = 3.183 Meters
Thanyaburi Mac
circumference = (pi)(diameter) = 10 x 3.1415 = 31.415 BTW, Mr Google knew, I also forgot. http://www.onlinemathlearning.com/circumference-of-circle.html Mac

rene123
Pi is 22/7, so there isn't any exact answer, but you can get close enough depending on your tolerances.
Popular Post Neeranam
Pi is 22/7, so there isn't any exact answer, but you can get close enough depending on your tolerances. Pi is not 22//7. Pi is an irrational number, which means that you can't make a fraction of it with 2 integers. Pi is 3.1415926.... a non-repeating decimal. Circumference of a circle = 2 x pi x radius.
toybits
PiR2 (Pi R Square). This will give you the area within the circle. 2PiR (2 times Pi time R) will give you the circumference. 2 PiR = Circ. Pi is approx. equal to 3.1416. If circumference of circle is 10 meters 2 PiR = Circ, 2 PiR = 10 meters First you have to figure out the radius then multiply that by to to get diameter. to get that ... 10 must be divided by 2Pi or 10 divided by 6.2832 Result for R or radius is 1.5915 To get diameter - multiply Radius by 2 or 1.5915 * 2 = 3.1830 meters my math is rusty. please check.

Yes, slide rules do date me.

Popular Post overherebc
Big chief had three daughters who got married. One got a hippopotamus skin for a wedding present the other two got buffalo hides. After 9 months hippo' squaw had twin boys the othe other two one son each. This proves that the sons of the squaw on the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws on the other two hides.
