What Is Up With True Internet, Frustrated Client?

Featured Replies

We signed up and got True installed into our apartment about 3 weeks ago and at first it was working ok, but last week it started to slow
down really slow. Every time it slows down, we get messages, unable to connect to server.

We are forced to shut down the system and turn it back on to get connected again. Only for a very short time.

I design websites as a hobby and my clients they use hosting providers in the U.S. for their sites. I have to tell them. I can’t connect to their site, because the internet provider is way too slow. I pay their monthly fee, but don’t get crap from them.

We’ve placed calls to their so called Technical support dept. number and didn’t get any help. Are there any other Internet service providers with better service than True. There has to be.

It seems to depend very much on your location and other less apparent variables. You'd be better off asking people in your building and neighborhood what they are using and what their experience has been. Apparently quality of service has less to do with the company and more to do with your location in many cases.

I had TOT for years and the service was really horrible, but other people were reasonably pleased with them. On the other hand I now use 3BB and, for the most part find them to be pretty good, while others have nothing very positive to say about them.

Was the wiring used provided by True all the way up to your apartment or did they stop at the building and use existing wiring already present within the building? The latter was the case for me with TOT and probably a large part of the problem. 3BB, I was informed, did the entire installation including within the building.
