Bookman meant "when".

You pair have the look of a couple of rabbits....staring at a pot of stock and a carving knife.....biggrin.png

If you had said 'Rabbits in the headlight' I know you would be referring to my specialist batting style of 'slog sweep'

Did anyone mention the most World cup wins also?

How many of those England have?

One more than Australia. coffee1.gif

But why bring football into this topic?

Captain Michael Clarke admits "people may laugh" at his claim Australia can still win the Ashes, but he insists his team can turn the series around.

Unless the English are doing what the Aussies did in 1981, I think not....

To win the series they need to win all three matches, and I really think it is not just the English they need to bowl over but me think Mother Nature is going to have the last word.

Laughable claim really.

They could still get a draw for one match and a win in another though.

WOuld be good to see any Australian batsman score a century...

Not sure where you are coming from, England have already won the first two matches, to win the series Australia must now win the remaining three, if they win two and draw another than it would be a drawn series, I do not think even Mr Clarke could claim that they had won the series without three decisive victories.

Australia have won!

The toss, that is. Clarke has chosen to bat.

Warner, Starc and Lyon are in for Hughes, Pattinson and Agar. England are unchanged.

I can see my quote was not clear as to which part I was replying to.

I was saying it was a laughable claim from Clarke that we can still win this Ashes series.

O-M-G!

That is an unbelievable review decision for Khawaja.

No hotspot

No Noise

No Visual of the ball hitting

Still given out.

Truly unbelievable.

He was and Botham was in agreement with him.

Makes a mockery of the entire review system.

How can everyone else see it is clearly not out but the 3rd umpire can see it is somehow out?

There *was* a noise from the bat clipping the pad, so I can understand the umpire.

But if the third umpire saw and heard all that we did (and I believe he has even more), he's a blithering idiot for not overturning that.

Still, as it wasn't England, I won't be outraged.
