The Movie Shop on Sri Poom near Chang Puak Gate has closed. This was a good source for old movies. Are there any other places in Chiang Mai that rent or sell classics?

Thanks for any information.

Thanks for that. But we'd still like to find a local shop.

Some time ago we heard that there was a pretty good one on Suthep Road near the intersection with the canal road. Looked for it, but couldn't find it. Maybe you can.

I am member of this DVD shop. Unfortunatly the name is only in thai letter. The adress is: 289 Suthep rd. and it is located at the intersection Suthep rd. and the road to the 41 area. A good landmark is the small orange Daihatsu pick-up, parking on the sidewalk.

I could walk to that shop. Does it really have a good selection of classic movies? Are these old black and white classics, or newly christened "classics" from the 1980's and '90's?

I've heard very good things about it over the years. Unfortunately it is too far from where I live to be convienient. Lucklily, nowadays, I can download most of it from the internet.

I just noticed, the above mentioned "dvd film and music"-shop moved to another location.

It is now at Sirorot rd. (close to Wat Suan Dok) and will reopen tomorrow on the 26th
