While I am on the subject of useful Software - Karen's directory printer :

...now supports UTF-8/ Asian characters. So if you have a folder-full of files with the filenames in Thai and you just want a plaintext list of the filenames, you can now use that software and it will show the Thai, not replacing each letter with a rectangular box, as it (and other directory printers) did previously.
