North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gave out copies of Adolf Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' to officials

WASHINGTON: -- North Korean authorities have taken interest in the experience of Germany’s National Socialist Party, according to a report by New Focus International, a news organization based outside North Korea, but declaring that it has access to high-level North Korean sources.

It is reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, deeply impressed by Germany’s soon revival after the defeat in the First World War, handed out copies of Adolf Hitler's memoir to senior officials.

North Korea threatened to eliminate authors of the reports on studying of “Mein Kampf” by the country's high-rank officials.

"We intend to take drastic measures for physical elimination of these nasty people who commit treason," - said in a statement distributed by KCNA on Wednesday.

With reference to an unnamed source close to the North Korean leadership, New Focus International has said that in January one hundred top North Korean officials received copies of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf”, as gifts for Kim Jong Un’s birthday.

The book by Nazi leader is banned in the country, but for the occasion it had been published in a limited edition, the media notes.

Beijing is reliant on a relationship with North Korea. They are allies although the relationship does not always seem cordial if you believe what is read in the Chinese press.

The Chinese would love to have the Korean Peninsula opened up for trade and communications. Your assumptions sound similar to those of a dear old friend I had in Germany.... No china would not. A united Korea would pose a serious economic threat to China. South Korea's oligarchy already has some of the world's keep ship building and heavy machinery production capacity and the Chinese would dearly like to take some of this market. China does what is in its best interests and having South Korea spending a large part of its budget to defend against a psycho nation suits Chinese interests just fine. Watching the Japanese wet their kiminos at the prospect of a North Korean nuke probably is an added bonus.
