What Good PC Power Paraphernalia Should I Buy In Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

I decided to replace a power supply, computer case, and UPS for a desktop PC.

What I had before was a 650W Seasonic, USD130, and a APC VA1000 UPS

I did not purchase these in Thailand, but I found the Seasonic not reliable and it seems the El Cheapos work equally well.

Now I need to buy 1 PC power supply rated about about 450 or 500 Watts, And 1 UPS that will keep PC and Files safe with all the CM blackouts I have noticed.

I am trying to save money using something adequate but no more because this is now a used PC.

In Taiwan I know what pwr supply brand I can buy for USD30, and it works as well as the Seasonic.

The APC in Taiwan works great but is too expensive, if there are other cheaper good alternatives, and this is only to keep the PC running long enough to shut down. 1000VA is enough or 500VA probably.

Also need 1 Cheap PC Case Tower with fewer lights the better.

Thank you.

You know, I am surprised that no one seems to know the brand name of the best local manufacturer of PC desktop power supplies in Thailand.

These units may be cheap or expensive, but must be reliable.

Some can last for many years.

Others break down quickly.

One of the most important components in building a computer is the power supply.

It protects all the other components in the box, and who likes to change a power supply after a few months?

I don't know which guys at the store to trust, but I guess I then must trust one.

Usually, most of the people who assemble computers gradually begin using the same local brand if it is good and reliable.

I am just not sure which one that might be.

Not any one brand that I have found exceeding all others for power supplies.

Tagan and corsair I believe I have had working quite well.

Gview ones have been cheap, better than freebies in cases, but I think every one I have had has died.

APC UPS are great but expensive and still die.

Leoninic are ok but still die.

Unknown brands all die.

Best thing on UPS is find one with a decent warranty AND which can replace the batteries when they die.

Ideally one where the shop selling them will also take care of the warranty replacement for you.

Good place to ask would be Thomas at invadeit.com

Good stock and knowledgeable on their products.
