Baby vaccinations

Featured Replies

Hi, not sure what country your from but this is how it goes in Australia. My daughter is also 6 months old. Here she has her usual vaccines given to all babies at 6 months. She doesnt need any extra for Thailand. Precautions to take are mosquiotos, Im getting 1 of those nets for her to sleep under. Cover her up as much as possible, I know its hot, but thin cotton loose pants or whatever. Be careful of anyone coughing near the baby, dont let them hold the baby. I cant think of the name of the disease but its coughing especially in the elderly. Think it was TB. Thats about it. This information was given to me by our local GP and a Travel Doctor. For reassurance, contact your local GP or Travel Doctor.

Normal vaccines for a baby that age but my son did have his BCG early as we were going to be frequent travelers to thailand & the risk of TB was higher for him.

Apart from that just be careful about baby being on sand or the floor without a mat or something, broken glass is a real problem on beaches & streets in Thailand.

Great just organised TB, and hasn't even thought about glass on the beach! Iv only ever had to be responsible for myself over there and starting to realise I wasn't that responsible now. Ha!
