Songkran - What's Open, What's Closed?

I'm assuming most offices are closed during Songkran. What about shopping centers, markets, etc. Do any of these or other retail businesses close during Songkran and are they closed the entire time, or just a day, or have shortened hours? For that matter, what other holidays, if any, do retail stores close for in Thailand?

No matter what festive season. Shopping center, retail stores, market and entertainment center all remain open for business.

Things do seem a little dead but you'll still have every type of establishment open. Last year everone partied so hard all day there was no one around in the evening!
