Not a "dry eye" in the house.

Thanks for posting this one. I had a couple of Beagles (in a past life, in another country) I still miss them.

Thanks again!

Truly a miracle and human kindness.

I found one dog outside my house, sleeping about 2.5 years ago.

Fed her, but all she seemed to do was sleep.

Cut the story short, after taking her to the Vets, it turned out she was hit by a car, broken leg, pregnant, covered with ticks, anemia and pretty much according to Vet had a few days left.

I insisted on doing anything and everything possible to help her and money was not an issue( well it was, but seeing her eyes was just too much for me)

1 month later, few blood transfusions, surgery, medication etc and 40 000 baht, she pulled through and 2.5 years later still with me.

Meet Maliboo smile.png (leg could not be fixed, so its little bent and will be a problem as she gets older, but i have her on glucosimine already)

I guess the moral of the story is, one does not need to be a magician to make a true miracle and save a life, just need to have little heart and desire to help smile.png

You are a true to life hero in my limited opinion.

We have 3... 2 from Care For Dogs shelter and one who strayed (or was dumped) to the local hospital grounds. Life wouldn't be anywhere as good without even one of them.

8 years ago we picked up a pup, about 1 month old, from the side of the road that had a broken leg and was almost dead. We nursed it back to health and finally had the leg amputated. I have 9 other dogs and she can run (hop) as fast as any of them, looks like a rabbit hopping through the fields. She still sleeps where she alwyas has, between my pillow and the headboard. My wife thinks that I like the dog more than I like her. If I had to choose ....................... ?

You are my kind of person. My wife and I have accumulated 25 dogs , two cats and a rabbit over the years. 1 dog died, 1 cat died. Costs a fortune to feed and keep , but seeing the way many dogs live here in Thailand and the level of care and responsibility many of the humans who "own" the dogs have, I don't care. When I sit with my dogs around me I feel as if I have achieved something. I feel calm and content. Oh I forgot I was in Thailand , I used the words "care" and "responsibility", not part of Ying*uck's portayal of "THAINESS".

Thank you for kind words, i do not see it this way. I see her(dog) being a survivor and fighter, somehow she managed to get to my house and for some reason she chose my house, she had to have know i would not let her die :)

She has a ridge on her back and Thai's say if have dog with ridge, is a very lucky man, monk often wei her (they say dog from Buddha) and i have had a few people offer me money to buy her.

I do not think she is lucky to have me, i think i am lucky to have her, as she is the most loving and affectionate dog i ever had.

PS. Great job taking dogs from Care for dogs, you are right, i can not imagine life without them.

Well done, i am the same way, now have 8 cats(all rescued from the streets, found when tiny sick kittens) and 3 dogs.

You are right, it does cost a fortune, but seeing them "smile" makes it all worthwhile
