Police search for Norwegian man after mysterious fire inside his hotel room.

As the residents and patrons of the many bars situated in Soi Post Office in South Pattaya were enjoying the Songkran Festivities on Thursday afternoon, a fire had started in a room overlooking the street which would soon close the street and dampen the water fighting taking place.

This fire took place at the Norge Hotel inside room number 219/17 which was occupied by Mr. Peter Andersen aged 58 from Norway. He mysteriously left the room in a hurry just before the fire, according to the manager of the hotel Khun Pornpat.

The question is, did he start the fire intentionally or was this an accident. What is known is that the fire took place in the center of the bed which Police believe indicates the fire may have been started by the Norwegian man. However, this is only speculation and for now, Police are attempting to locate the man who, as yet, has not returned to the hotel to explain what happened.
