I may be in the wrong forum here, please redirect me if that is the case. I am looking for a DVD concerning food bacteria and preparation for my Thai wife. Preferably in Thai language. Maybe even a pamphlet in Thai would help. As most Thais do, she leaves meat out before and after cooking it without refrigeration for hours. I have been having chronic intestinal problems for quite a while now and need a way to convince her that bacteria builds up fast. Of course she could eat green fuzzy meat and be just fine. Strange, she checks expiration dates and won't eat anything expired by even a day. Thanks.

Would a simple word in her shell like not suffice ?

Seems strange to have to have her watch a video, can the two of you not communicate ?

I don't mean to be rude but I know several couples he German she Thai that are married yet can not hold a conversation as neither speak enough English or Thai/German etc.

think you got it in 1...thumbsup.gif

Having worked all over the world with people who didnt speak any English, I have managed to convey even quite complicated technical info by drawing pictures...

so maybe the OP could get his crayons out...

Same with my TW. She will toss any unopened packaged food out if it is a day over. I try to tell her that they err on the side of caution and that they factor in the average Thai consumer who WILL leave the product in the heat all day.

I have taught her not to go shopping without a cooler full of ice to keep meats safe and vegetables fresh, but then she will put some frozen chicken or pork out in the sun to thaw and I'll walk by it and feel it warm, then rescue it.

BTW Soutpeel, how do you draw a picture of a bacteria with a crayon??
