I read the article ' The End of Britain ' by a popular financial magazine here in the UK, a few days ago. I see it's posted here ( on the right side of the page ). If, anyone here has also read it, I would like their comments. As my post title says, ' How worried should I be ? '.

Firstly, the Ad. only appears on your page here-courtesy of Google Ads, not on everyone's view (well, not unless they have all viewed the same page as you did previously!)

Secondly, MoneyWeek is a commercial organisation. (Hint:- they want your money!) and there are two emotional responses that many commercial operations like to evoke to prompt their potential customers to act. One is FEAR, the other is GREED. It seems they scared you witless!!!

They are inviting you to receive a "Report" that they say will show you how to mitigate the FEAR they have engendered. They really want you to subscribe to their service and pay them money.

Lastly, any organisation unable to write in correct English can hardly be regarded as the prime source of all knowledge. (eg they state: " This report is your to keep, regardless of whether you stay on as a MoneyWeek reader. "

Your to keep????? Apart from that, several of the charts they illustrate are erroneous.

Why not sign up for the "Report", read it, and tell us all what to do to avoid losing all our assets?

Britain is about to be swallowed by a huge whale. Not just any whale mind you, but a monster from 20,000 leagues under the sea.

The signs that this is about the happen will be the hoards of zombies in the streets. When you see them, board a plane immediately for Greece and invest all of your money there.

I've read The End of Britain and have settled on a holiday in Cairo followed by a weekend in Damascus, it'll be safer.

Britain is in such bad shape that the GBP is appreciating. All those currency traders probably didn't read the article. You'd better warn them.

I suggest a trip to the doctor in order to sort out that nasty bout of paranoia.
