Hello a small question,

Is it possible for a foreigner married to a Thai to be registerd in the blue tabian baan?

And if so can said foreigner also get the 30 baht card to get medical treatment in Thai hospitals?

Just asking because i had a small discussion yesterday with a soon to be Thailand expat.

No.

You can get a yellow Thabien Bahn as forigner.

No 30 baht medical treatment.

there is no way you can now get a 30 baht card unless you are a Thai or PR. In the past some small hospitals have given foreigners the card by mistake not knowing the regulations.

The Thai National gets the Blue Book and the foreigner gets the Yellow book.

If you are working and paying social security you are entitled to free medical care. A card should be issued and you show this at any hospital nationwide. Free includes prescriptions also.
