time validity of MC for WP

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the time validity of work permit medical certificates with hopefully a link to an official document/site?

I have done a search and seen 6 months, 3 months and 30 days mentioned.

Thirty days is probably correct. That is the standard here for date sensitive documents.

Thanks for replies. Do u have a source for 30 days?

Sunbelt Asia quoted 6 months in the thread below but it is 2 years old.

Honestly I don't understand the concern.

Better to get a new one. They don't cost that much. Possibly cheaper than a wasted trip to the work permit office.

Its up to the labor office that you are dealing with!

Thanks guys. No it's not a huge problem and easy and cheap enough to get a new one.

It would have been nice to know if there was a precise regulation as I was asked by a friend. Being unsure myself I thought I would pass the parcel to this forum with its combined wealth of knowledge.

I was told 6 months by the hospital in Bangkok I had my medical done at but couldn't determine whether that expiration was their side or labour dept side.

As I said, its not a big deal and if there is no definitive regulation then never mind.
