Any gyms on the north of the island where beginners can join muay thai exercise classes as a keep fit method?

Am looking for something different to just going to the gym to get fit, but not looking to become a muay thai boxer, just increase my fitness, stamina, and to lose some weight.

I suppose its something similar to Boxercise.

Try jungle Gym between Choengmon and Bangrak.

Do not be put off by old reviews. It was run by Thais and the equipment was pretty basic.

It's now run by different people and has a good rep.

It is also a resort, but you can just join the gym.

Here is a map. It is in the middle of nowhere, but look out for the signs on the Big Buddha to Choengmon road (on the left). Just follow the signs.

There is a gym just off Soi Maenam Resort road, in Maenam.... turn towards the sea at "Beach Way" (mini or family Mart on corner) just near the big sign across the street on ring road... Head up SoI M R road about 150 meters and turn down new concrete road, just past India Hot Restaurant... (turn right) there are a couple of signs saying "Gym"....

They may have what you are looking for... looks well equipped .... perhaps check it out!
