Need help withdrawing funds from a portfolio account

Featured Replies

Hi,

i have a portfolio account with an investment bank. I used to be with a financial company that gave me help with the account but have recently have had to cancel my agreement with them.

My problem is i need to withdraw a proportion of the funds to purchase an apartment. Easy enough in it's self, all the cash is in various deposit accounts but i'm no accountant and can't make head nor tail of the statement. I have to clearly state all the required info on the Withdrawal Form. I'm just a layman and can't make head nor tail of it.

Need help!

Cheers

Nobby

You used to be with a financial company ? and you cannot understand a statement?

I'm in the same situation - I need to withdraw money from an Isle of Man fund I was conned into a good few years ago - they're making it very difficult for me to get my hands on my own cash although I've not drawn out more than I was entitled to over the past years. I too went through a BKK investment company, who now seem to have washed thier hands of me and are not responding to emails or phone calls.

If I ever find out how to decipher what sounds like the same form I'll post again! Don't sit on a hot stove waiting - it IS rocket science - and is probably desgined to make us all and leave our cash in thier personal casino...

So that's two new mysterious members who have difficulty reading stuff. Well unless they want to post their documents online they have to see a lawyer or an accountant.

I see the 'boo boys' are out in force today. rolleyes.gif

Nothing mysterious, financial statements which include multiple investments can be confusing to those who aren't used to them.

Is that better? rolleyes.gif

Ask a reasonable question and the self appointed superior beings hovering here will have the need to denigrate the questioner, thus elevating their own lofty status.

Pitiful actually.

Really sounds like it would be worth investing in a few hours service of a qualified CPA.

Terminology in all things these days seems to be getting more opaque. Supposedly routine options on my computer like "Save page as" still elude me.
