roamer
Thai were ranked 48 out of 50 airlines for noise flying into Heathrow in tests carried out in July & September this year. " In last place was Polish airline LOT, with Israeli carrier El Al 49th and Thai Airways 48th." Result of using those old 747's I wonder ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-24829340
jcb2001
I don't even think Thai pilots have ever heard of "Noise Abatement" procedures at airports, much less practice it. Edited November 6, 2013 by jcb2001
adweb00
Like there cars no doubt. Removing mufflers means more noise and that means more power right? Ha ha ha ha ha Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
WitawatWatawit
It's the 45-inch boom boxes in the wheel hubs. But strangely nothing about the twinkly lights around the windows or the fluorescent tubes under the wings. Brits must think that's cool.

ezzra
No wonder and no surprise there, as Thais are immune to noises and where ever you in Thailand there is excessive noises and the locals don't seems to mind or notice...

wooloomooloo
I'd pay good money for a nice abode under LHR flight path. Sure to be more serene than my neighbours. Edited November 7, 2013 by wooloomooloo
Chao Lao Beach
Not very scientific, comparing short haul regional's to long haul full of fuel. One must ask however, what about other operators using the same types ? Maybe they have fuel for a 7 hr trip to the states and Thai has a 13 hr trip. Surly the THAI crews are following the "Noise Abatement" procedures.
uptheos
Probably drilled holes in the exhaust.
