If you are interested.

I posted one a couple of weeks back that was emphasising the new beach clubs springing up all over the northwest of the island. Well here's another one, almost saying the same.

Avoid Patong is another theme.

Looking at its recommended hotels, definitely aimed at the high-end traveller!

The higher end resorts are busy with people who can afford them

Its the backpacker and cheaper types of accomodation that are quiet, its the same

every year and going to get worse with all the new ones being opened

The author is an ex trolley dolly who specializes in writing reviews of high end hotels for publications like "Elle" and Hello". Presumably doesn't have to pay to stay in them.

In her blog she boasts about celebrities met.

Don't expect to spot her anywhere in the south, let alone Patong.

Was a bit puzzled she writes:

" Tip: A seven per cent government sales tax is applied to all purchases."

Probably she only eats/sleeps in upmarket places that add 7% VAT and 10% service charge to the regular bill. This "tip" wouldn't be of any use to the regular downmarket tourist who will never notice the VAT.

I think that is a pretty good review full of useful information. Mentions of Khao Sok and Phuket old town as well as advice on Thai etiquette etc.
