The thai channels are on thaicom 2,3 C & Ku band, the "official" UBC are also on thaicom. The free "UBC" channels are on agila 2 Ku band. This means you need a movable dish with C & Ku LNB.

Whats this...what UBC channels are free ?? are there more channels out there that we do not see on the normal UBC system ??

Please check JSAT website, click on satelites, agila 2 and you will see all the channels, not complete list: cnbc, abc, fox, cnn, bbc, bloomberg, cartoon network, disney, nickelodeon, hbo, star movies, star world, cinemax, halmark, axn, tcm, star sports, espn, discovery, discovery travel, asia living,tv5, deutsche....

other movie channels english spoken but forgot name.

there are 52 channels on this agila, all for free, check it out.

thaicom 2,3: thai 3,5,7,9,11,itv + several others not on ubc, + russia today (enlgish), bvn ( belgium-netherland) + several indian/pakistan channels( some in english)

As far as I understand: you need 2 boxes/dishes if you want to watch 2 different satelites at the same time, if you want to watch 2 different channels on the same satelite on dish will do but you will need an extra box which is not so expensive.

Better to check with a satelite equipment provider to get the right answer to this, I am just a user.

cheers, rono
