I appreciate the thread. I wasn't aware Macro sold instant mashed potatoes.

I'll ask the Missus to pick some up on her next shopping expedition.

Jip99 's point is a good one but I think the bag wins in a convenience comparison test.

The only place I have ever seen instant mash is in Bangkok. I have never seen it in Makros.

Just buy the imported potatoes at about 28 Baht a kilo, boil them up, add a bit of butter and milk and you will have far better mashed potatoes at a fraction of the price.

Don't forget some garlic and sage.

Christmas goose or fried bacon.

Put enough butter, salt and whatever else you want in all mash tastes great.....now let me weight you knobbly little bugger before I peel you
