Will Pay Cash

Featured Replies

When ever i was selling something, a car or a bike or a phone or a tablet, here or back home, people always use this "will pay cash" to get a discount

Well, what else would they pay with? pigs and chickens?giggle.gif

Just recently was selling a car, and few potential buyers phoned up with the same questions, how much if i pay cash? Hmmm, same price if you paid with bank deposit?! as i certainly do not accept cheques.

I could possibly see some reasons for cash being something "special" if the sale was for some huge amount of money, which could be taxable or brand new.

In Thailand, just the other day, over heard a foreigner asking for discount if he paid cash and the answer was if you pay with credit card, will charge you extra 3%.laugh.png .

To be frank, personally i prefer payments over the internet, so i do not have to go to the bank to deposit the cash.

PS. No moral behind the post, just a funny observation,

Well, at least in Europe, Cash payments can get you a discount over credit cards (merchant fees as you mentioned), you can get a discount for cash payments if you do not use the "standard" 30d payment terms (usually you can get up to 2%) - and finally, a cash payment could get "lost" in bookkeeping and thus, income taxes could be lowered...

Exactly..cash is king and you can hide it.

That not being understood by a massive hotel ceo is not encouraging.

We talking private sales, not shop sales.

Yes under the mattress is the safest place.Good to see on the ballthumbsup.gif

Well,

What about if they said:

I want a discount.

I pay less and you get short time.

Not on internet or virtually,

Then see if you can walk to bank,

Or at least maybe you walk crooked and still give me discount fir cash?
