I'm NOT even going to tell my wife I saw this. She may decide to PLUCK my eyes out!

American Hillbilly: "If we get divorced, will you still be my sister?"

Doesn't the wife have any younger sisters?

If not checkout the cousins.

Based upon the OP's total lack of interaction, I'm guessing he's a troll.

Trolls are allowed to marry her brother.

Is it alright even if they (wife and wife's sister) think its alright?

I doubt it will work in any country (exception being those that allow it religiously) because most mainstream social and cultural values do not wire us for bigamy.

Eventually jealousy will rear its ugly head.

its not explained why the OP wants to marry the older sister.i understand the logic of trading an old model for a newer one but not the other way round unless of course the older model is pure vintage!

Older sister might be the one with money whistling.gif

Yea why not keep it all in the family clap2.gifclap2.gif

That is a personal fantasy of mine

i'm past that fantasy. one of my wife's sister had bigger boobs, but now my wife has caught up with even bigger ones.

Not uncommon, when i married my wife i married her mum, her dad, all her sisters, uncles and aunties. I have a water buffalo wedding and i have never seen my wallet since.

Is the OP's wife deceased?

Maybe you should relocate to Tasmania where you could marry your own sister, you know the one with two heads wub.pnggiggle.gifbah.gif

I can't believe this. Next question will be about not a sister but maybe a daughter. Mind you they say Incest is best keep it in the family. Not for me, I'm no sicko.

I can see OP's interest in this.

Look how happy it makes everyone.

I'm getting worried that we'll be RIP-ing sad.png playbgnow once he tells his present wife of his affections for her sister. Playing with fire for sure.

Why don't you marry her mom?-wai2.gif

For the sake of argument, let's assume:

1) The OP is not trolling

2) His intent is to be "married" to both sisters

3) He is intending to marry the second one in the "up-country" sense, not in the "go to the amphur and make the paper" sense

4) We can put aside our cultural biases regarding polygamy.

5) The current wife is on board with the plan

The greatest barrier that I can see would be the fact that the older sister would be the minor wife...I do not believe that would work over time.

"Would it be acceptable" was the OP's question. I am not sure, but my question would be, "Acceptable to whom?"

What does your wife have to say about it?

Thai wife? I say, hide the scissors...

Hey, you never know, they could be scissor sisters.

Do em both. thumbsup.gif

May as well make it a hat trick, do the mother as well.

Ok, understood, but I guess I was thinking along the lines that in Western culture this is not unheard of over the centuries. Actual marriage not really being the core issue, I guess. More of a matter of she's getting on and it's economically doable.

Fairly common to marry sisters in Lanna society, forbidden at the Amphur office these days, but village weddings are still OK.

is the reason for marrying the older sister because you actually love her? or is because you pity her (you said she is "getting on").

is it because she has never been married before and she is older, so if you marry her, she can be happy ?

i am going to 'assume' that your current wife, (the younger sister) is already understanding of this situation, yes ?

so I wanna say to you all: That is very nice that you 'care' about the happiness of this older sister. and if thats what you wall want to do, then 'go for it'.

BUT, its a bit fake and not real love.

if you DO have REAL LOVE for this older sister, then what does the younger sister think?

is she ok with that too ?

if so, then it may be fun for you, but it could turn to disaster (after a few months) !!!!!

if your current wife does not know about this, or if she is uncomfortable with this whole idea then you could end up in a 'dangerous' situation.

jealousy can cut people deep. especially the less stable people.

if you are going to have a jealous wife around, then it could be pretty dangerous for you.

if your current wife entertains the idea of you marrying her sister coz her sister is lonely, then its all embedded in false energy. the marriage would be aesthetic (but fake). and anyone who entertains this idea is obviously not in complete 'sound' logic or mind.

so these kind of people are MOST LIKELY to react worse when jealousy hits them !!!

I hope you understand what I am saying!

basically,, the less stable and more illogical or uneducated, the worse the jealousy can be !!!

if these two girls are marrying for reasons that are not complete love, then the jealousy that may arise in the future could be more uncontrollable.

look at these two girls (in your mind) and ask yourself: are they educated stable minded people? have you ever seen any of them act in any way that you considered to be dumb, stupid, crazy, majorly illogical, etc ??

the warning signs are ALWAYS apparent when you enter into ANY relationship. (you just need to have good recognition and judgement skills).

if you want to get more helpful answers you must let us know what exactly is the whole situation. you really didnt give much info.

troll post by op. save it for Penthouse letters.

Is the OP's wife deceased?

Don't think so, but OP might be deceased soon by his wife.

<deleted>.....just when I thought it couldn't get any crazier !!!

What does your wife have to say about it?

"She's better at faking it."

I suspect this is Thommo Physicist, Another one American, Fiftytwo new name.

It's perfectly alright if they're twins.

How unacceptable is it to marry your wife's sister, who is getting on in age, whilst being married to her younger sister?

Generally twins are the same age.

You were looking at the wife's sister, who is 'getting on in years' and thought to your self "hmm I'd like to marry her, she looks economically doable"? w00t.gif

"It's ok my love, I have asked strangers on the internet and they say it's fine" I'm sure every little helps and all, but am still at a loss as to how you might pitch the whole idea.

I'm always amazed at the things people will post on Thai Visa in the supposed pursuit of advice from complete strangers ... on a forum whose participants are not generally known for clear thinking on a wide range of subjects.

I once wanted to marry twin sisters. Then there was the time I wanted a mother and a daughter.......and then there was the time.......well you get the idea. ha ha

With Adam and Eve in mind, we're all shagging our sisters so what's the difference? facepalm.gif

Eehhh...last time I checked bigamy was still illegal in Thailand, so better divorce your wife before you make any moves with her sister.

Maybe you can adopt her or just make her the "little wife". Why in the world would u want to do that anyway?
