Upnotover Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Excellent, presumably they will get cheaper as well.

7by7 Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 Cheaper? Only when pigs start to fly! Visa fees are set in Sterling; and the actual fee charged in Baht depends on the exchange rate being used by the embassy at the time; known as the consular rate. This is why the fee in Baht changes throughout the year when the actual Sterling fee is only changed annually. Hopefully, this will mean that if the consular exchange rate changes between an applicant making their appointment and paying their fee and their attending the VAC then they wont be asked for the difference. But they wont get a refund if the fee in Baht goes down, either.
theoldgit Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Will certainly save the problem of going into a bank and buying a draft, only to find the rates have changed when the application is submitted. 2 theoldgit
