When renewing a retirement visa, is yet another statement of financial responsibility required by Immigration? In other words, if I got it last year, is it again required this year? And if so, how close to the renewal date? It is becoming increasingly difficult to schedule the (unreasonably expensive!) notary service at Chiang Mai's U.S. consulate...

well, i know that a new one is required (yearly) for the spousal visa, so i assume they want it for the retirement visa.

last i heard, it must be done within 30 days of your visit to office... i had mine done one week before just to prevent

any questions/misunderstandings.Better safe than sorry
