And use the 4 second rule at red lights in Chiang Rai. That's about on the average how long (cough) it takes drivers to realize that the light is not green anymore wink.png

Yeah, I always let the Thais on their mopeds scoot off first at green just to make sure there are no cars jumping the lights. Unless it's a T-junction then ....

I will make a summarize route and report when iam back home. Hope there are no protest when heading back to BKK on 3rd. Tomorrow Chiang Mai - Mae Sot no special route cause time is running out.

Just saw that theres another route which is about same distance like 11 - 1. Its the 106; does anybody know how this road is? Mainly i need to know if i can go at a good average speed i don't want to loose too much time riding through a lot of villages, narrow roads or bad road conditions.

116 and 106 are great roads hili. Just go forward. Good curves, perfect secenry and condition of the roads are nice.

Especially after 'Li' it gets superb!
