Replacement Laptop Screens?

Featured Replies

After finding out the hard way that angry Thai girlfriends should not be left in the same room as your computer :o I am now in the market for a new lcd screen for my Acer 370 TM laptop.

A referb will be fine, any ideas where I can source one ????

BTW That’s referb screen NOT referb girlfriend!

That's "refurb", actually. The major IT places will have stores which carry these panels, as I've seen them in IT Mall and Pantip. However, getting one that fits your exact model might be hard. If that's the case, your only recourse may be to go to Acer themselves. Either way, the panels don't come cheap.

Or you can try your luck on eBay.

Thanks for the pointers (and the spelling lesson!). I have been searching and now realise it's not going to be cheap to sort.

I will go to Pantip and see what they have to offer.

In the mean time you could pick up a cheap desktop screen and plug into the VGA socket at the back

if you need to use the machine.

IBM (lenovo) includes 1 year insurance covering accidental damage and theft on their laptops. Make a claim and pay only 1,000Bt. A very good deal. Plus their repair turnaround is usually 2 days or less.

Screen replacement can be rather costly - in most cases a new laptop is the only recourse.
