gentlemen,

am in the market for a new pick up cause i don't trust the second hand market too well.

considering floods all over the place, its kinda hard to tell if even the dealers brand new consignment were not under water!!

that said, would prefer something more than 2.5l, AT, rear cam & 4 doors (hi-lift types would be better) & (cruise-control a plus!) with retractable

wing mirrors

navara (thirsty? what about reliabilitiy)

triton (seems like quite a bang for the buck, nice cockpit though)

d-mac (nice cock-pit, cruise-control)

looking for reviews from drivers of the above only.

trolls will hget a bridge on their heads :)

Out of the three the triton, high quality cabin with outlander hand me downs and the turning radius will be appreciated when you compare it to others like larger ranger especially in the city, the ranger is stable and fun to drive. I almost bought a 6 spd mt navara 4 years ago for its butch looks and the comfortable seats with generous space inside. Changed my mind after i saw the crash videos and the slow deployment of airbags in the first test which was revised doesnt address nor negate the serious deformation of the occupant zone, where the wheelwell, pedals and firewall cave inwards. The new dmax is a good looking ute, the engine is not as powerful as the colorados but ive read a new one is on the horizon.

With the new utes comming out, id buy a second hand triton or vigo to be honest unless you plan on keeping it in the longterm and are indifferent to the new offerings towards the end of next year.

Can't really compare these 3. The Navara and Triton are old models, the Isuzu is next gen. Look out for the Navara with 140l CNG tank, I would have bought this if it would had a double cabin (only extended one). The Triton is a fuel sucker, old engine. Out of the game. I bought a BT50. There are only 2 or 4 new models on the market now, that is Mazda/Ford and Isuzu/Chevy. Leaves the Nissan for the CNG option.

Im sure ive seen 180 kph Max quoted this new model ,jeez one swerve and yer over in a Hi Rider at that speed. Dont bother saying it wont, with an untrained Thai it tumbles over at 100 as we all see around us everyday.w00t.gif

Must be just a D-Max thing as I have had my Ranger at that speed and had to do a quick lane change and it did not fall over.

You were just lucky there were no puddles, or it would have died on you on the spot smile.png. Falling over would have been better for the insurance.

It was fine in puddles and the insurance company actually told me to put it back together and to call them next time it rains.
