Mobile Phone Problem

Featured Replies

We're from Holland. have just installed a Thai (Koh Samui) sim-card into our mobile. We are able to phone international to Holland, but can't send sms messages back home to family mobile nrs. Can anyone suggest what the problem could be. We dial 001-31-number.

Not too sure about this but maybe you should just dial + and follow by the country code and mobile number.

hi bergener!

try to check the sms setting of your phone.or else try to contact the local provider check the status of your sim card if the sms is activated.may be this could help you. :o

Try to change the number to "+31-number", that worked for me before!

The problem is the International code from Thailand is 00 or more easily '+'. Your texting 00131xxxx which is actually America. Send again to +31xxx and it should be fine.

I have made it a habbit(and i think so should everyone who travels internationally) to always use the + format.

All my contacts are saved in the international format starting with + so where ever i am, i can call/send SMS to anywhere. makes matters simpler.

Many thanks to all, your suggestions were all correct....we have to use the "+" instead of the international 00 or 001 code. Worked straight away.....!
