Going to see her in march for a month but would like to bring her to the uk for 3 months on a visitor visa, I understand I have to take bank statements, log of phone calls, photos, proof of job etc. What I would like to is can I start the process from the uk before I go to Thailand in 2 months? Also what can she do to help at this point?

Cheers in advance

You are going to see who in March?

Detailed response required eh?????

First of all read through this pinned topic uk-visit-visa-basics/ then maybe have a read through the many topics on the subject, and come back if you have any specific questions.

Basically she has to satisfy the ECO, remember it's her application, that the visit is affordable and genuine that that she will return to Thailand after her holiday.

Yes the process explained start to finish would be good, bare in mind I am in the UK at this time and would like to know what I can get started on before I travel to Thailand in 2 months :)

She has travelled out of Thailand before and lived in Finland for 2 years, she is 39 with one child who is 18, she also rents an apartment and is a bargirl. She currently has a valid thai passport.

I have a stable job which I have been doing for 2 years, I currently rent a flat which is shared but can move back to my parents if that will help with the application. I have no debt and do have savings.

We have spoken for 8 months daily and I have visited Thailand before.

Ahh ok, so from what I have read the best thing for me to do is get together the bulk of paperwork needed to apply whilst I am here in the UK (on her behalf), when I get to Thailand with the paperwork/evidence that is when I will need her to do her bit? And then go to the embassy?

1) Complete online application form.

2) Submit online application and book appointment at visa application centre.

3) Print application form and applicant signs it.

4) Applicant attends appointment with signed application form and all supporting documents to submit them and have biometrics taken.

5) Await result.

As your girlfriend must submit all her supporting documents with the application hard copy then she must, obviously, have them all. So you need to send/take her yours before this.

But not too soon, financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, pay slips, should not be more than 1 month old.
