I need something lighter than my macbook or acer laptops

Must have ability to open minimum 2 (prefer 3+)windows at same time.

I found this online but uncertain if available in Thailand

At present I have on USB then into an adapter

3 Int warranty so Alibaba cheapo Chinese type in schools and malls at sub $100 unlikely to be covered in UK France and Oz.No objection to warranted products LeNovo and I realize Mac and no doubt other stuff is from China,its the support ,warranty that makes known Brand desireable.

4 Must run Skype (My "caddy" won't use google or Viber etc)

5 Blue Tooth ,Wifi

Optional

Prefer to run Mavericks or Mountain Lion

Easy switch English/Thai keypads some products I see online do not have Thai kepad option

SIM card to use as a phone (Phablet in emergency)

Cameras back and front

I have a mac wireless keyboard and a samsung Galaxy so compatibilty with either preferred but not vital

Budget

I doubt I want to spend more than 7-1300 baht as they inevitably become out of date.If there is something that ticks all boxes maybe 20k but this seems over the top as I can buy used warranted macbooks for 12K baht from employer when in Uk,prob is their so heavy!!

Our local mall has a samsung model but sales staff hardly know the date let alone will it work wirelssly with my printer or take an unlocked Oz Sim card etc.

I read reviews and Nexus and others all seem to have good but differing features.

I would like to buy in next 6 months and will be in Bangkok,Amman,London if their are any big price diffs,However in terms of support ,warranty and Thai instruction book for my wife will pay a premium to buy local.

We have Sinthanee Elctronics wharehouse ,LotusTesco in my town plus Makro, Big C and main dealers of Samsung Apple 2 hours away

All advice pro or con greatly appreciated

Also I may have overlooked some features or options.

I seldom use need it for music films tv or camera,mostly eMail,surf here and multi window work.

Obviously Int and forward compatibility handy,Weight not crucial and prefer to pay more for bigger screen ,quality, battery life even if it approaches iPad size and weight,The only drawback iPad is lack of Flash in multi windows

I haven't seen any tablets with usb ports and not many can be used as an conventional phone too.

With all that stuff you want to connect, have you considered a Ultra Book or Net Book?

I like the Nexus 7 but it can't do all the things you want, but it's considered by many the best 7" on the market, the screen is awesome. I haven't bought one (yet), I am afraid as I also have a 5" smart phone I will just be using that and the Nexus 7 will be collecting dust as my 10" Onda V972 is.

When I travel I bring my Dell Vostro 14" ultra book with 3 usb ports (3.0) and I like it very much. One more point is that many hotel rooms I been staying on in South East Asia, they have a Lan cable for internet in the room but no Wi-Fi so with a tablet you are screwed. I then uses my phone in the reception area for wi-fi.

The ASUS Transformer TF700T comes with a USB port, and an optional keyboard dock (w/extended battery).

It's my preferred machine for travelling. No SIM card, but I tether it anyway if I need mobile broadband.

Battery life need not really be an important issue now with the large array of cigarette pack size and smaller auxillary battery power units in the B700-B1500 range.

They go from anywhere around 10,000 mAh to 20,000, giving you 10 or more hours extra on most devices.

I havent seen any tablets that run on Mountain Lion. Isnt it a apple op system for Apple computers? Or are talking about different lions?

They are compatable with anything that charges via a USB port. And I do mean ANYTHING. I use LiIon battery packs to charge my phones, tablet and even some cameras.

Pretty much ALL Android or Apple phone/tablets charge via USB.

my samsung does not have a usual usb port...it has the charger port which you can conveniently by an adaptor for which then you can fit a usb into it though...

All the battery devices I've seen have one or two USB "out" so you simply attach the USB end of your charging cable. If you have a charging cable with the transformer permanently attached then maybe not. If it is the usual 5v2a transformer then you should be able to substitute a USB cable with the proper input end. Some tablets have pin ends but most are still 5w2a.

Sadly our Uni still needs flash to access all stuff so looks unlikely this will do.The option of add on keybard and long life is great

You don't need expensive Android tablet with docking.

Windows 8 tablets at 8" and 10" size starts from 300 usd. Asus T100 will be sold in Thailand this January. Expected price is 13-14k baht. Quad core intel bay trail, 2gb ram, 32-64 gb hdd, windows 8.1, keyboard docking, IPS screen etc.

I do not use windows at present Linux or Mavericks so need to ask,sorry if a dumb question as used PCs in past but my key need is Falsh player and Skype .I can install Skype but Android nor iPAD support Flash any more I read?

So will these devices allow flash window,click-to -call open at same time as I can do on my laptop on Mountain Lion,new Mavericks does not support click-to-call !!!this is a must have all else is negotiable also can you give mean example of a Windows tablet are they branded by Sony Samsung etc?

I am sure this can all be googled but as a non specialistthe endless jargon and innovation is a bit overload and I really appreciate the help of those really up to speed and in the city

You can install linux or whatever you want to a fully x86-64 compatible computer/tablet with uefi bios. If not, windows 8.1 is much much better than Android in terms of pro usage. Full size usb ports and adobe flash/silverlight support is also nice.

Because T100 is like a notebook, there is no customs duty and only 7% vat means it'll be sold similar price to USA plus dealer profit plus 7% VAT.
