Has Fast Food Gone Too Far?

Featured Replies

It was in the British news today that Heinz have produced, and released, a new product. Instant beans on toast!!!!!!! You open the pack and pop it in the toasty machine and.... Bob's your uncle..... beans on (in) toast. They reckon people want this sort of thing in this hectic lifestyle.

It takes about 2 minutes to heat beans and 2-3 to make toast doesn't it??????

Oh and by the way did you see the cans of cooked rice in ???? forgot the supermarket now..... it's like 30 baht for a little can of rice and veggies.

What do you guys like about fast food?

In America we have premade peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches. Pretty bad. :o

The liquid variety ain't bad :o although I wouldn't mind trying a beerburger once it gets invented.

Every second counts when you are in a rat race and by waiting 2 mins for the beans to be heated you might lose a USD 2 million contract inquiry.

You never know my friend, you never know

Fast food - it's not about how good it taste but is it edible and practical on the go? That's all

Sounds good to me.. it would be better if it was microwaveable tho.. we haven't got a toasty machine at work ! :o

in the US we don't do the Benas on toast thing ... that's a limey thing

^^ thinks the above was one of Tipp's drunk or hungover posts :o

Drunk. Just thinking about food made me queezier than I already was. Anyway, beans on toast? What a way to ruin good bread. If I were a baker I'd shoot someone for desecrating my tasty creation. Although if it's Heinz bread it probably isn't real bread. More than likely 50% bleached flour with no nutrients and 50% sawdust. :o

All the most successful people I know organise their lives so they have time to eat properly. If somebody wishes to deal with you, they will be willing to wait an hour or so while you ensure your body is kept healthy. With a healthy diet and lifestyle, you will be able to think clearer and quicker and land many more of these multi million dollar contracts.

Fast food is fast, but rarely what could be considered good, healthy food. Steer clear of it.

That sounds absolutely grim to me...

I know it's lowering the tone somewhat - but if I was the sort of person involved in big money business meals - I would be laying off the beans for lunch, especially if I had meetings in the afternoon (could be a bit smelly).
