Pattaya Police shut-down illegal Hi-Tec Casino in Central Pattaya



PATTAYA: -- A 20-strong team of Pattaya Police Officers shut-down a Hi-Tec computerized Casino at the back of a Jewelry Store in Central Pattaya, in the early hours of Tuesday.

The team of officers received intelligence on the shop which was known to contain a Casino in the rear of the premise.

As officers approached, some tried to escape and even threw themselves through windows, but everyone was captured.

At the rear of the shop, situated at the base of the 9 Carat Condo in Soi Arunothai, was a Casino featuring 11 computerized black-jack and poker tables. 26 staff members were arrested, 21 of them being Burmese Nationals.

The main organizer of the Casino was named as Khun Chaya aged 51, who claimed that Chinese Tour Groups and selected Thai’s would frequent the Casino which was covered by a number of Security Cameras.

That agrees with I have heard here for many years, that the police either run the casinos

or are partnered with somebody big. Gee, I guess that is how so many casinos can continue

running with impunity...... Not sure what happened here, maybe some sort of territory

issue. To amuse yourself, if you live with a Thai girl, simply ask her who runs the little

casino in the village.... Two of the biggest money making businesses in the world are

are gambling and drugs. Why in the world would the police allow someone else to make

all that money ???

. I was close to this it was 9 30 pm the bloke who organised this casino has a lot of rooms in the condo block and this is the second time he has tried this as usual we will hear no more about this money talks.
