VocalNeal
On a car truck or heavy goods vehicle, how many types of braking systems can you quote. By that I mean as you put your foot on the pedal, between the pedal and the shoes or pads. . I got 8.

Jitar
Jake brakes release compression on the power stroke to increases engine braking, (and noise). Jake brakes and retarders usually do not involve the brake pedal and pads or shoes though?

Daffy D
I had a Ford Prefect and early Popular both of which had rod brakes. - I think Braking always pulled to one side or other - impossible to adjust properly.
