Has anyone else had problems with AIS and losing credit from their sim/number?had 2 numbers and and lost 100 baht and 50 baht . when i challenge them I get some crap about sending sms overseas.I left DTAC because of their incompetence and now I have to deal with the AIS staff and their blank look when wanting some answers

Have always found DTAC the better of the two despite all the spam. AIS just seem too shifty... some serious padding going on on a company mobile I owned a while, like in the thousands!

I changed my plan to 3G 699baht unlimited last year in October.

As i recived the 1st Bill statment i noticed a VAS was charge of 80 baht, for music and Video clips download.I did not download at all something> But i got a new mobile phone (Sony Z1) .So i thought its this grap SMS (pretty Girl) all in thai which i always deleted as soon as they arrived and then later b;ocked it in my anti virus program.

As it was only 80baht i not really cared and almost forget about it till the 3 bill arrived and there been a chrage of 450 baht for this music and video clips download.

I checke dthe previous bill and there been asl a charge of 320 baht for the same.

I went to AIS in Fashion Island and showed them the incoices and ask them to explain me how this be passible.

The Lady at the counter checked and then she ask her supervisor about this issue ,after they had checked my settings of my phone they say i need to cancle the SMS Ad. at the AIS website ( I done this when I applied for this 3G Plan) .so I insist to show me when i apply or change the Ad SMS settinga on their website.

They seems a bit confused or what my wife thought they Play so and then they came and said they will cancel thia SMS ad. and reimbuse me with the next bill.

I thought good the problem solved till yesterday the next bill statment came and ther been a charge of 590 baht on it for the exactly same as the Bills before.

Any one have same experience and what did you do ??

I consider now after almost 12 years with AIS to change to True or DTAC.

^^^ I did change to True after the same shit with AIS started happening, but I had other issues with AIS I didn't like.

I have a lot better data speed with True and am happy, they also started sending me this paid junk SMSs but I told my GF to call them and shop it, so it never happened again.

While I was on AIS I also had my GF call them and cancel the paid junk SMSs, not sure why you let it go for so long, always check your bills!

This is why I dumped AIS. I'd find hundreds of baht drained overnight. They said I had to disable Data to stop the drain. What!?!?!? Anyway, they reimbursed me but it happened again and to a friend on AIS. I have SIM cards for all three providers, as well as Cambodia and Vietnam. None was as "shifty", as someone above put it, as AIS. I will never use AIS again on a prepaid basis.

BTW, I have True Move 3G on my iPhone. I am constantly disconnecting and reconnecting the 3G network to regain use of the internet. Many times I want to check email and it just sits and spins. It's been a problem for 2 years now. I'm in Pattaya but have had similar problems in BKK. I am switching to DTAC. BTW, it's only TH provider with a complete English website. Anyway, I've often been impressed with my tests of DTAC. Day to day, well, I will find out, as soon as True releases my number to DTAC. (But that's another year-long story of frustration and incompetence. Just found out today True had my name as [First name Last name] [Last name] Argh!!!)

Haha, they too screwed up with transferring my number, had to pay twice, but whatever, I'm getting good speeds and no issues at all with True, never tried DTAC and probably won't unless True starts screwing around.

I see this seems very common at AIS.

This its fraud in my opinion anything leagaly can do about this (Yep I know this is Thailand ) but seriously ?

Ok my wife been yesterday at AIS and the lady remebered here straight away

So she ask the Lady at the counter why they still charge us even last month she told we not get charged anymore.

She looked a bit confused ,then told her maybe a mistake in the system she will cancle again and ..."IT not will happen Again "

So just see anyway they reimbursed us again .

So she told here if on the next invoice the download charges appear again we cancel our subscription.

So any one knows what charges will come up when i cancel it ?

I have applied in october for 1 year promotion . Or have i wait till this expire ?

Hello !

I using ais only for receive calls!

In past data limit usage was limited iPhone load some updates bill 300 bath was lower credit the hotline refound me without any problems!

On dtac I got always advertising

How I can des able this!

Did you ever before you got a bill let your phone alone?

My ais number now 10 year in use since I stay in Thailand during that time, some strange think happen also!

12 call has 2 main security problems, years ago one time in a Samui hotel happens that 300 thb disappear

After I called the hotline

I got information that someone transfer proberbly the cleaning stuff the money to another phone number

When I was not in room!

It's easy done entering a network short code with target number and boom your money disappears

There is no security code nothing!

The biggest security leak comes now

It is realitivly easy to high jack a 12 call number

Most shops ask you only how much you recharge last time and when , when you can answer this question sending money before on a ATM with target number you can hijack a 12 call number with in 2 minutes!

The use of 12 calls promotions 50 min for 39 thb, results in a lower voice quality go down after 10 min when you reconnect again is ok for next 10 min

True better coverage on 3G on the country if you are on sea or a remote island 12 call Is only network avalible !

There over high expensive international calling rates are not really customer friendly!

When my family calls me one our to Thailand from austria is only 30 cent!

With some iPhone apps also free!
