Outgoing Mail Problems

We sent a register package to Australia last Thursday AM, normal register post not ems.

Normally we can check the package online and it moves from Phuket>Chumphon>Bangkok>then onwards overseas usually well under 48 hours. This time the item is showing as dispatch from Phuket around 15.00 on 30th Jan but does not track any further.

Called Phuket office Monday, they said because Chumpon post was closed by demonstrators all post (from 29 Jan onwards) was not actually sent onwards but was held and sent early on 3 Jan direct to Bangkok.

Calling 1545 today was not a lot of help, they just said it takes 2-3 weeks to Australia (actually it only normally takes <10 days) had to press them as to why it has not moved and did not really get an answer just told to email in.

Its is now 5PM 4 Jan and it still has not moved any further?

So I can't exactly tell if our package is lost or just delayed further, anyone else posted around this time and the item has tracked out of Phuket? Thanks.
