For our pinned topic thread "Phuket Advice", you know the one that goes:

-don't need to carry around your rental bike helmets as even if they do get stolen they are only 150thb

-negotiate your tuk-tuk fare before getting in

-best not to rent a jetski or else face bodily injury and/or extortion

-metered taxi stand to your right when exiting the terminal (I am used to using)

BUT for this topic, the location of the metered taxi stand exiting the new "X" terminal ? Anyone?

I think Terminal X is just for check-in and not for arrivals.

That seems to be the case. The new signs for the terminal also have the carrier name of Jetasia. I've been meaning to go and take a look at the layout etc. I'll report back after I've done this.

How is overnight car parking now?

Is the new multi storey car park operational yet?

Thanks

I looked at the Jetasia website. It has some great destinations directly from Phuket, but its absolutely impossible to book ANYTHING on their website

Correct only for check-in. (eventually for all intentional charter flights)

After check-in the passenger are bused to the main building for immigration clearance and boarding, i suppose that they are getting dumped at the departure road side area where they will cause congesting at the two security points.

So the only advantage is that the check-in area will be a little bit more quite.

But the bottle neck at security and immigration will be the same or even worse as now full buses with checked in passengers will arrive at once.

I don't know how this will solve anything but it must be Thai logic.
