Mae Sai Visa Run Weekend Working Days

With the usual apologies, having trawled the forum and googled and not yet having a definitive answer, can I confirm the Thai and Burmese Immigration offices are open 7 days a week? Imminent visa run with visa expiry date on a Sunday. Thanks.

Yes open every day.

Sunday actually best day to go. Roads are quieter and get there quicker.

I always like to go day early just in case something unforseen happens.......like miss the bus, traffic accident,

Or like your car battery failing on a wet day in a petrol garage forecourt north of Chiang Rai a couple of years ago, as happened to me. I got jump started but then had the dilemma of pushing on and knowing that I would have to hope it started again after the border crossing. It did. Just. And why do batteries only last about 2 years out here .... another topic for another day.
