Popular Post Katipo Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 That's kind of nice in a way. Almost makes me wonder if she had miraculously been elected PM without her brothers help and constant interfering whether she might have actually tried to do some good. Then reality kicks back in. 4
Popular Post seajae Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 you have to laugh at her stupidity, she just keeps coming up with all these benign ideas and thinks the people will love her for it. Unfortunately for her everyone in Thailand is not as simple/stupid as her red supporters and know she is not capable af a rational thought let alone understand the true meaning of things in general. 10

Popular Post Luk Mhee Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 The PROBLEM is that she is carrying the sins of her brother, and the other BIG PROBLEM is that she is being forced to live and work with many absolutely corrupt and lying government officials, and the other BIGGER PROBLEM is that during the first few months of her term she was preoccupied with other things rather than being available in parliament, and the other EVEN BIGGER PROBLEM is that she intrusted many of her duties to the corrupt members of her team, and believed all their lies, and now she is carrying the brunt of everything, and what she and other people may not realise, is that she is perhaps going to be used as the ‘sacrificial lamb’ to insure the continuation of the rape of the Kingdom. What is actually needed is a complete re-vamp of her members to insure that the corrupt, lying, members that also come to work intoxicated, or just sit and play Facebook, watch pornographic movies, or sometimes don’t even bother to come to work when an important sessions are in progress, and replace them with solid, publically elected members that carry the interest of the Kingdom at heart. 4

CiaranO Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I think the bottom line with YS is that she probably is a decent person but she has this shadow called her brother constantly hanging over her pulling the strings. He picked her because he knows he can manipulate her. I think YS would be more than happy to retire from public life and live a peaceful existence without any of this. On the other hand her brother should be ashamed of what he has done to this wonderful country.
Popular Post smedly Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 Take your peace pendants to Trat and see how you get on, she does understand that Trat is part of Thailand and she is the PM of the whole of Thailand, why is it she spends all her time in the North East, it just highlights exactly what is wrong in this country when the PM can only visit 1/4 of it 7

I actually have wondered how she would do if she was on her own. With all her prepared-canned answers and her lack of command of the English language it is difficult to say IMO. Being a long time guest here I do not care who the government is but would like to see a bipartisan one in power that would take care of the Thai people and this wonderful country. For the first six months when TS first came to power I really had a good feeling about the government. After about one year he became scary. 2

The real problem in Thailand aside from a crooked government is the South which she has all but completely ignored. The death rate there from Terrorism makes the red shirt kill rate look minuscule. Yet she continues to ignore it. I maintained and still maintain that if she had spent some time there endearing herself to the public and gaining their respect the public would be far more willing to stop protecting the terrorists. But they figure she doesn't care for them so why bother helping her. Listen to me I am actually acknowledging she could do some thing good for the country. Of course there would be no money in it for her or her brother so why bother. 3

I to had high hopes for her even though I knew Abhist was the most qualified for the post. Even after the fiasco she made on the 2011 flood handling I had hopes but she never lived up to them and I now see why. She is just not mentally built to handle the job. 2
rubl Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Maybe Ms. Yingluck could take clothing advise from k. Jatuporn. In 2010 he was walking around with a Tshirt with Gandhi image
Popular Post Scamper Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 The strategy of Pheu Thai has really come down to sympathy. But really, all the things that Yingluck is experiencing would have been completely unnecessary if she had stepped down over two months ago when she reputedly was on the point of doing. The statements she makes show a profound disconnect to what is going on around here. She may feel comfortable in Khon Kaen, but she seems completely reluctant to do what she must do - and that is appear before the NACC. The latest is that she wants to put off her appearance for 45 days. Does she realize the signals she sends by doing that ? Especially as it happens con-concurrently with trying to impeach a member of the NACC - not to mention six judges of the Constitutional Court - at the same time. When you are devoting your time to trying to undermine the legal system, your excuses for delaying appearances become painfully transparent. Yingluck gives the impression that they are not worthy of her time. It is impossible to imagine anyone conveying less respect for the judicial system of checks, balances, transparency, and accountability. 6
Spartakos Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 It seems that at times she really believe the things she says and in her realm they make sense.
Lupatria Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Where are the banners saying "You are my peace president- flight for peace?" 2
Baerboxer Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 All part of the act - the tears, the peace wishes, the sincerity, the mock interviews etc etc PTP obviously feel a large amount of people fall for this - and many probably do. A nice smile, say something nice, make a few promises and the odd vow. Then back to the luxury real world she lives in. She certainly is a good actress - apart from the odd gaffes when she forgets the camera's still rolling.
siampolee Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Possibly she is preparing to ''peace off'' or something like that. We can but live in hope. 1
americaninbangkok Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Her whirled peas pendant? She seems to mean well... but leading a country and a people is more than just smiling pretty (and crying). But like a well-meaning idiot, she's be better off leave the hard work of leading to capable adults.

And this is your opinion fine, vote them out!!!!!!! But that's not going to happen is it? because no one votes for losers. 1

If you want to vote them in, then try it after the court has finished with them all.---you are on a losing side along with a dozen of others on TVF. Get on the winning side vote for reform, corruption out. 3

Popular Post kimamey Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 That's kind of nice in a way. Almost makes me wonder if she had miraculously been elected PM without her brothers help and constant interfering whether she might have actually tried to do some good. Then reality kicks back in. I think the answer is no. The reason she's PM may be because of her brother but the reason she can't do the job very well is because she isn't a politician. If she wanted the job she should have started at the bottom not the top but even then she might have found it difficult as she was never interested in politics. At least if she'd done that you could admire her for trying. Even if she wanted to do things properly now it would be difficult or impossible as she can't really work her way up now and she tainted by the association with her brother. She's an adult so she should have known better but you have to feel a little sorry for her the way she's been treated by Thaksin. 6
