Explaining anxiety to a Thai

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I really want to inform my girlfriend as much as I can about anxiety so she can help me and gets a good understand why I worry so much.

Does anyone know the Thai word for anxiety?

Also does anyone have any other info, in Thai or a good way to explain in Thai anxiety because I really think she doesn't understand it and I worry it will effect our relationship.

Thank you so much

Thinking too much would for sure be one of the top answers.

They deal with anxiety the same way they deal with most things.

A person I know married to a miserable Thai lady, used to get very anxious every time she came and sat to watch TV. He said that looking at her miserable face and not being able to communicate very well, made him terribly anxious. After telling a Thai friend about it, the basic answer was; "if you get anxious looking at her......then don't look at her". Unfortunately I don't think this worked for him.

Often 'one room' relationships can cause a lot of anxiety.

I think you can tell her that you have "โรควิตกกังวล, louk vitok gungvon."

But why wasting time and energy worry about thing that you cannot control?

Yep, she said to me 'you think too much'

But guess what? After getting myself worked up about the relationship, I found out she was seeing another guy. Heart is dead.
