hello is there any one out there that could help me

my step son from thailand has just had his settlement visa to join his mother in uk refused mainly down to this sole responibity thing, but i have noticed on the desicison letter that they have missed a though trips my wife had

is there any solictors out there willing to do for free or at least help me write a good appeal letter

Did you read the rules concerning sole responsibility and do you think that you meet them? If there was any indication of others having responsibility for the child then your case is very difficult to prove.

If you are able to do it, you should post the refusal letter here (removing all personal details first). We will then be able to give you an opinion on whether the decision looks to be correct or not. You say the decision was "mainly down" to sole responsibility, so are there other reasons too ?

If you want a solicitor or immigration representative to help you, then you should look for a Level 3 OISC registered immigration advisor. I doubt if you will find any that will do it free, as it is likely to be a complicated appeal.
