I'm a visual artist living/working in Bangkok. I'm now in the midst of post-production on my first feature length independent film called "The Shadow Sea". Working on a shoestring budget with largely volunteer cast and crew that eventually numbered more than 50 people we shot entirely in Bangkok at night over the second half of 2013. Our lead actor has appeared in a number of high profile Hollywood projects (though to be sure mostly in supporting roles). The film is a straight-up black and white film noir about an american with a violent and complex past who gets lost in the basement of the LOS. Think "The Third Man" meets "The Year of Living Dangerously", sort of.

Some great folks allowed us to shoot in their offices, restaurants and homes (both beautiful and decrepit) though the outdoor shooting was all done guerilla style, often in the rain in the wee hours of the morning in locations from Sukumvit to Klongtoei.

I've been a visual artist my whole life and have a degree in fine art. When the film is finished I'll be submitting it to film festivals worldwide with the aim of securing some form of distribution deal. Please take a few minutes and visit the film's facebook page and drop a like on us. Everyone involved thanks you.

Blimey good for you! And I thought I was being adventurous trying out the video function on my DSLR last week.

Looking forward to it.

I liked the music (suspenseful) and the background action at times drew interest of what's going to happen next. The mystic of the dark shadows. The only negative I saw was the narration voices seemed monotone at times, dull, slightly boring. No emotion when there should have been. Sounded like like someone reading from a script. Voices just as important as the action to bring life to a "dark" script. I would go see the movie when it comes available. And I dropped a "Like" on it.

Thanks katana for posting the trailer. I generally direct people to the fb page first because it has the most up to date info (including the trailer) but there's also an official website that has more background of how the story came about, along with the cast and some other stuff. It's here...

As for the voices; I'm always open to constructive feedback and I'll keep in mind what you said Mrjlh.

Thanks.

Also for those who may not know: you can adjust the playback quality of the youtube video by clicking on that little wheel at the bottom right of the video and chosing HD. You should stop the video first, click the wheel, choose HD then restart the video.

And thanks for the 'like' Mrjlh.
