Nikon DF and my older Canon stuff

Featured Replies

Hello!

I'm brand new to this forum having just discovered it...

I JUST bought the Nikon DF and am loving it. I have a slew of pre Ai Nikkor lenses at home in Los Angeles that I'll bring over next trip back and use with it.

I guess I'll be selling my Canon 5D mark I.

My Canon 24-70mm 2.8 has a small chip in the front element. I should have that fixed before trying to sell it.

Does anyone have experience with Canon service in Chiang Mai? Suggestions?

Cheers!

gmac

Welcome!

Old Nik's on the df do look lovely.

135/2 DC and 50/1.2 would be my top two.

@ kilt....Try Canon service in BKK, they're pretty good IMO.

I don't know about Canon CM or what they can fix, however

for a lens element replacement they'll most likely send it to BKK

or perhaps even to Singapore. Mind you...it seems a better

idea to me that you have the lens repaired in the US before

you come over...surely cheaper in the long run & possibly

faster too.

135/2 DC ooooh that is pure bokeh filth.

I did have some photos to show of a beautiful Asian model taken with that lens from a user on pbase, but unfortunately he has removed all his wonderful photos.
