UDD's rally on April 5-6 just a "final exercise before the big war"

BANGKOK: -- The mass rally to be staged by the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) on the Aksa road in Bangkok’s suburbs this Saturday and Sunday is just a “final exercise before the big war” after Songkran festival, said Jatuporn Promphan on Wednesday.

“Our aim is to send a message to those who want to seize the power from the people that they have no chance of success,” said Jatuporn as he urged red-shirt followers to have trust in their leaders.

He claimed that there were more people this year who were frustrated than those in 2010 because they wanted an election but their wish was shattered by just a handful of people and, worse, the election was declared null and void by the Constitutional Court.

Even if the protest site is close to the residence of protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban, Jatuporn assured that red-shirt followers would not go near the house to avoid possible confrontation.

He also warned anti-government protesters not to interfere with the UDD’s rally.

the silent majority have had enough of being trampled on by the big boys so a warning they wont tolerate being shafted again ?

Again the questions:

- Who do you mean 'the silent majority'

- Who do you mean by 'big boys so a warning they wont tolerate being shafted again ?'

No need to get all nervous k. Jatuporn. The government will be removed by democratic means, criminals will be charged and removed from their posts unless you and the rest of your gang is against it, but then what does it makes you? Not the defenders of democracy you claim to be, that's for sure.

Saturday and Sunday is just a “final exercise before the big war” after Songkran festival, said Jatuporn Promphan on Wednesday.

Aren't you and Natawut in court on the 18th to have your bail review???

Oh right.... so this war will be actually because both of you will be locked up again. I see now.

sounds too good to be true

This man makes suthep's constant calls for one more rally look sane. He is completely off his rocker. Blood and violence is all he understands. No wonder he leads PT's stormtroopers.

I shouldn't worry about it... he has around 2 weeks of freedom left before his bail is revoked.

I doubt this guy will taste freedom for many years to come, if ever!

I can expect to hear of his demise in prison under dubious circumstances and his mate Nattawut also.

There is no way this tosser can throw around all these threats of war against the courts and military and walk free from his bail inquiry.

If he does, then I will just totally give up on Thailand, jump on a plane and sit back with lots of beer and popcorn and watch the slaughter as it unfolds and the ensuing coup. Before returning to laugh at the smoking ruins of the UDD and red shirt movement.

WAR IS WAR!!!!!...... If that is what they want, but they will come second.

Locked them up and throw away the key! Red shirt movement should be outlawed as a threat to national security.

Yes, both sides are armed, but as one poster observed, one side is defending itself and the other is terrorizing with grenades and attacks.

Ok so they wont be getting the 500,000 they had stated so now they will call this the final exercise. I guess when they get more money to pay for more people to come then comes the big war
