I have a very slow leak in the R22 of my room air conditioner. I have to have it topped off every 3-4 months. The technician has a batter operated leak detector but, it cannot discover any leaks. he suspects the leak is so small, it's going to be difficult to find. In the US, you can inject a ultraviolet dye in to the coolant to find tiny leaks but, I cannot seem to find it here. My technician has heard about it but, has not seen it available here (at least locally in northern Thailand).

Has anyone see the dye injector here for sale?

Many thanks for helping find it.

One often overlooked source of very slow leak in the system is the check valve at coolent fill ports. During leak tests this part of the closed loop is often hooked to equipment involved in test, thus is not checked. Not expensive nor difficult to replace and its is a step in the elimination process.
