Are there any decent spam free chat rooms around?

I miss the hay-day of simple clever chats in Yahoo chat and Bangkok chat. Anyone have a suggestion of a site with decent chat rooms?

Chatrooms are so 1990's. It's all camera stuff now and there are plenty of them. just google it.

Hmm The popularity of chat rooms has steadily declined in the past decade. Most people now chat on social platforms (FB, LINE, Instagram, Reddit, etc...)

i'm not really sure what you mean by chat room... i would recommend LINE which i use for most digital communication, and is very popular in thailand

you can create groups or chat one-on-one, and there is a timeline (same like facebook wall but it's easy to choose who does / doesnt see your timeline, and you don't have to look at others timeline posts if you dont want to)

you can use it on your phone or on computer, and it seems to require very little internet so always fast even with 3G or when wifi access is not so great

Okay, I like the idea of chat rooms, cause you can read what people say and how they interact with others, before introducing yourself to them.
