Bank account frozen
Under Bank of Thailand's instructions, all Thai banks require foreigners who hold accounts with them to have a long-stay immigration entitlement. That's been a requirement since 2014 but was never strictly enforced. Since the end of June this year, and following malfeasance by employees at a branch of Bangkok Bank in Chonburi earlier this year, Thai banks have been VERY interested in the immigration status of foreign account holders. -
