canuckamuck
Why does C Cleaner always delete my Chrome extensions. I have tried to figure out which parameter to uncheck so this doesn't happen. But no luck. It is quite annoying to have to redownload.
cooked
These cleaners get rid of anything they don't recognise. Ccleaner is a load of panda poo in my opinion. However when I used it I had the option to choose what to delete I recall. Sent from my GT-S7500 using Tapatalk 2

I only use it because it has worked for me and I felt no need to change. This extension problem has been since I moved to Windows 8. And yes you can choose what to delete, but there is no checkbox for extensions.

noise
I have been using it for years and never have had such a problem. CCleaner does not delete any extensions or plug ins in any of the browsers I have loaded. And looking at the options, I do not see any with which I could ask CCleaner to do so. canuckamuck
The problem was with Windows 8.1 combined with versions of C Cleaner lower than 4.1. Your graphic shows v 4.12 (so after the fix). The link posted by MJCM shows that were other people experiencing the same thing. And I can assure you it was happening to me. It happened 3 times, despite me making different choices. So are you saying it can't happen, because the company disagrees with you and that is why they fixed the bug.
noise
Good point, I should have gone to that link and read what was there. I was not saying it could not happen. I was just saying I did not experience it and offered up my view of CClean. After reading the link, I see that since I use Win 7 and Win 8 had the problem, I really had nothing to offer. I shall try to do my due diligence next time before posting.....maybe.....

sirchai
Hello and Sawasdee Khrap, One wrote it would be as bad as Panda Kee,, I'm sure it's even worse. Please try "Your Unin-staller" ( the pro version from the xay), run it, free a few GB/MB of space, get rid off all junk that deleted programs had left on your machine and write about this experience on this forum? MJCM
One of the best IMHO is PrivaZer, however the advanced options are not for the faint of heart Link: http://privazer.com/ Edit: // Added Ps Ps: Disclaimer, when using any Registry - Disk Cleaner make sure you have a Backup as these programs can do more harm then good (if you don't know exactly what you are cleaning) Edited April 15, 2014 by MJCM

jingjoke
Nuke it. It's Bad News. You should not have to worry what such an extension eliminates; in the case of CCleaner - worry! Best, well close to the best, worry-free app is System Mechanic Professional.
